Rose App

Case study
Jan 2023–Mar 2023
About
Goal
At the university, I had a task to design a mobile app for ordering any flower with delivery and only card purchase options. This app should be suitable for iOS and Android platforms.
Result
It took almost 3 month to build the app that suits for both platform. I went through bunch of steps to make it happen: competitor analysis, research, building IA, wireframing, search for a style, design and UX-test of the prototypes.
Competitor analysis
Conducting competitor analysis provided my valuable insights on market trends, user preferences, and industry best practices, which could help improve the app's features, user experience, and competitive advantage.
Gathering info
I started my case with gathering all possible information about my hypothetical users. I looked through the most popular app for ordering flowers, found out the most frequent pattens in their interfaces, and listed pain poind that I faced.
Survey
As the next step, I chose to make a survey to validate my hypothesis about experience with competitors' interfaces. I decided that information that would get with the survey would be enough to improve user experience and avoid the most common pain points.
Information architecture
Building a solid information architecture can provide a clear and organized structure for the app's content and functionality, leading to a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
Screens
After research, wireframing, and designing, I got the final product ready for the last round of tests
UX-test
After all these steps as a Product designer, I should've checked my design on real users, so I gathered all screens from the golden flow into clickable prototype, and conducted moderated UX-test. Some of the usability metrics helped me to realize have successful was my design.
