Website builder is the main part of the CMS of Megagroup company. The main goal that this company set is redesign this website builder to make people use it without developers and decrease the threshold for new users. Also, increase Acquisition metrics and conversion rate for the main features of the product.
Result
I redesigned interface to make it user-friendly and more intuitive, added WYSIWIG approach that allows users to see and edit content, and provided much more templates of each type of blocks. By all these actions I helped to increase NPS by 1,9 point, increase number of self-service without decreasing key business metrics, and decrease pressure to the Support department of the company.
Process
This is an example of the process I went through to reach goals and solve users' and business' problems
System audit
I used Jakob Nielsen's 10 general principles to check functionality, and performance to ensure that it meets the required standards and provides a seamless user experience. This process helps identify potential issues.
Research
I interviewed our current users and users of our direct competitors to find ways to solve our user pain points and find ways to increase the acquisition of the product. This company used the Customer Development framework so I used it to check the hypotheses.
Defining goals
Conducting competitor analysis, the users' research, define the company's aim I found points, which could help improve the user experience, and competitive advantage.
Ideating
I sketched out various ideas for the website builder, considering both user experience and technical feasibility and this is the result.
Controls
Each of the elements has a setup of different settings that could be changed to make a unique design. I made up rules that could help our team implement this correctly and add this to the Help Center for the users.
Reviewing after launch
A month after launching the redesign of the website builder, our team monitored its performance to ensure it meets the users' needs.
